50027 Lion worked its last train in July 1991 and was withdrawn the same month due to power unit damage, thereby becoming the 37th Class 50 locomotive to be withdrawn after over 23 years of active service. Its engine hours stood at 7,116.
50027 was bought by a private individual in January 1992 Moved to the Watercress Line
1994 Moved to the NYMR, where it operated for 17 years.
2012 Returned back to the Watercress Line
